This is a best seller. The plot revolves around an assassination on the French President De Gaulle. One of the most heavily guarded individuals of that time. The attack eventually fails. But the plot rotates around the Jackal who is hired for the purpose. He takes up several disguises but is finally dealt with. The book has been screened into a movie. Other equally popular novels by Sir are The dogs of war, The Odessa file, The fourth protocol and so on. All the books are heavily informative, plots are intriguing and most of his books are international best sellers.

The Eagle Has Landed - Jack Higgins

Jack Higgins is another writer about second world war stories. Other famous books by Sir are The Eagle has landed, The Eagle has flown. In the first the Germans capture a full English village. But when a small boy falls into a river, the uniform gets exposed and the enemy is revealed. The soldier who dives to rescue dies in the attempt. This is the turning point ... A book which is a total page turner, suspense thriller that keeps you on the edge. A must to read.
